Product Engineer

-PROACTIVE contributor keeping PK4 media’s websites secure, functioning optimally, brand-safe (free from glitches), and on the forefront of site functionality and design within the marketplace
-Work daily with the VP of Product to ideate and execute on new products within the online advertising ecosystem
-Help to add features and improve efficiency of the existing CMS and adserving systems

• Ongoing site maintenance (i.e. correct site glitches, ensuring all the WordPress plug-ins and versions are updated, maintain security, manage server bandwidth etc.)
• Implement Custom Creative Units (Advertorials, Skins, Overlays, Doorway Page, Custom Co-Reg Page etc.)
• Create spec guidelines and sheets for custom creative units
• Ensure sites remain compatible with changes across all browsers and wireless devices
• Work with marketing team to plan and execute site “facelifts” (new units and/or features) every 6-9months.
• Ensure site infrastructure and content input is optimizing search performance

Keep a watchful eye on technology trends and recommend product improvements that align with the trends

1-3 Years Experience Minimum

$60K or DOE

A passion for writing code and building technology

Experience building web applications and infastructure

Basic understanding of online advertising units (display, rich media, video, search, social media) and how they are measured and tracked

Experience building and maintaining a robust editorial site (as opposed to just product sites)

Experience writing production proven code in the following language

• PHP
• Ruby On Rails
• Javascript
• Action Script / Flash
• Or the willingness and drive to pickup one of these languages

A forward thinker in the web space, able to keep the rest of the PK4 Media team abreast of new site development trends proactively recommending various site updates and/or new builds.
